WEBINAR

Space is available at the Council's offices if you would like to attend in person.

October 6, 2017

9:30am - 12:30pm

In the webinar, we will discussing the following:

Further discussion of the Marginal Carbon Emission Rate modeling results and implications, including the following topics:

Discussion of the emissions and output changes throughout the WECC of the test runs suggested in the last SAAC

Test Run Methodology proposed as an alternative to identifying a marginal unit as the avoided carbon resource:

  • Run sensitivities of 1, 10, 100 and 250 MW of flat load removed for Pacific NW, in addition to a base run.
  • Look at the change in CO2 emissions between the base run and the sensitivities to calculate the avoided CO2 rate to see if the size of load decrease matters.

Discussion of updated model runs for all 80 hydro years and entire suite of scenarios.
