In each of the Council’s power system models, there are a number of common parameters. Due to the differences of model fidelity and focus, each model requires slightly different forms of the same source information. Since the Council uses outputs from one model as inputs into another certain parameters are used to ensure consistency[1] throughout the analysis.

The primary set of common parameters are represented in all the power plan modeling are represented in the global assumptions.
