BPA Energy Efficiency Funding

The region will have opportunities to weigh-in on its plans to meet energy efficiency goals

Several weeks ago, the Council sent a letter to BPA expressing concern that its proposed funding for energy efficiency would be insufficient to meet the targets in the Council's plan. In following BPA's capital investment review process, the Council noticed that the proposed funding for energy efficiency was a XX percent increase for 2015-2019 compared to the XX percent for 2010-2014. This raised questions about the agency's ability to reach the plan's 38 percent increase in energy efficiency for 2015-2019.

BPA is planning to craft a comprehensive plan, which includes its integrated program review and post 2011 process, for funding energy efficiency. The Council looks forward to working with BPA and others in this effort to determine a successful course of action to acquire all available energy efficiency.
