Measuring Progress in Meeting Energy Goals

The Council's power plans give the region guidance on resource acquisition so we'll have the energy we need without sacrificing our natural resources.

Having clear measurements in areas such as energy efficiency and renewable resource development--both priority resources under the Power Act--will help keep us on track.

Like the fish and wildlife program's high-level indicators, the Council is proposing 13 metrics in areas tied to meeting its mission under the Act: encouraging energy efficiency, renewable resource development, and ensuring a reliable and economical power supply.

The Council is inviting comment on these metrics until October 31, 2014.
