Power System Analyst

Dan joined the Power Division in May 2017. Prior to working for the Council, he developed models and computational tools for long-term planning of the Federal Columbia River Power System of hydro-projects at Bonneville Power Administration. Previously he also performed research in electromagnetic interference at Intel, and fusion plasma physics at UC Berkeley. It was at Berkeley that he received a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics, and was a lecturer in the Departments of Physics and Nuclear Engineering.
