Ken Dragoon, renewable energy expert, joins Council’s Power Division

Ken Dragoon will be joining the Council’s Power Planning Division as senior resource analyst in November. He is filling the position held by Jeff King, who is retiring at the end of the year.

"Ken brings a wealth of experience and expertise in areas of growing importance to the Council’s work," said Power Planning Director Terry Morlan. "He is a published expert on wind integration and renewable energy, with deep experience in electric utility operations and planning."

Dragoon began his career as a power system analyst for the Bonneville Power Administration, eventually working at PacifiCorp on resource planning, analysis of power markets, and renewable energy issues.

Most recently, Dragoon has worked as the research director for the Renewable Northwest Project, a prominent renewable energy advocacy organization located in Portland.
